Horse Breeds & Their Descriptions

Piet is member of the Friesian Horse Breeders’ Society of South Africa and for many years he propagated unity within the industry. In 2003 he started to organise an expo and auction at Geyerspan. It was with the intention to promote this breed even more. It was with the intention to promote this breed even more. Nowadays it is called Hoofbeat.

We at Geyerspan breen, auction and sell some of the finest horses around the country. Our main breeds are Friesians, Norikers, Percherons and Cross breeds, proving once again that we do what we do with passion. Click on an image below to view more information of each of these breeds.

Horses for sale!

Friesians are one of the most popular and “in demand’ horses in the country. Stallions, mares and young stock of this breed, as well as crossings, are on sale throughout the year. You are welcome to visit our stud at Geyerspan, between Koster and Lichtenburg. During the annual Hoofbeat festival, an elite auction will be held at Geyerspan on May, 28. Friesians and horses from different breeds will be available.
